Before I formed you in the womb I knew you. Jeremiah 1:5a

This is a very important issue with me. Life. It saddens me to know how many babies are carelessly aborted each day, each year. It also angers me (justifiably so!) that a woman can be so selfish in her thinking to just murder her unborn child. I've heard people say it's not a baby yet. The above scripture clearly states: Before I formed you in the womb I knew you! An unbeliever may think it's just tissue but I assure you it's not. I had someone tell me once (I won't name names) after I miscarried my child at 3 1/2 months that it wasn't a baby yet. It was just a bunch of tissue. I cannot tell you how much that hurt me! How dare someone be so callous about a life! A life that was growing in my womb?! Ladies, there is no such thing as a choice when it comes to being pregnant! God is the only one allowed to decide life or death. Perhaps you're afraid of what people will think, or how am I going to afford a child? There are so many options other than abortion! You have to be willing to look for them! Going through with your pregnancy is the most selfless thing you can do! EVER! It's selfish to just discard a life just because it's inconvenient for you or whatever else excuse you may use. I know I am coming off strong and for this I do not apologize.

If you have had an abortion, ask the Lord to forgive you. He will because He loves you. You may be grieving over your decision of abortion. God can help you through it. I strongly urge you to seek Pastoral counseling. You do not have to go through this alone!

If you are considering an abortion please take a moment and reflect on why you think this has to be the only way. Also, someday you will have to give account for all sins and I can't think of a worse sin than murder. Even though all sins are equal in severity in God's eyes I believe we will have greater remorse over some of our sins than others. Pray to the Lord for courage to go through with your pregnancy. Pray He will guide you and comfort you. God has a purpose for every single life! We may not understand what that purpose is but we have no right to question it. Be strong and know that your unborn child’s life is just as important as yours!

  1. Thanks for sharing, Mary. It's a life as soon as the egg is fertilized. Every cell in the body knows what is self and nonself. This is all basic biology.

I still mourn for the loss of my child that was lost in an ectopic pregnancy before my son was born.

    safe hugs

  2. I'm so sorry for your loss. We lost 4 babies and the hurt never goes away.
